Horse Shows & Clinics

SGS is active in the horse show circuit from local shows to AA-Rated shows and all level in between.    We also provide clinics and workshops periodically to increase the experience levels and knowledge of our riders and staff.

 

Showing at StoneGate Stables (SGS) covers a wide variety of levels and options depending on the age, experience level and objectives of the rider.  We calibrate our travel and show schedule based on the desires of the trainer and riders.

 

Horse Shows

• Local shows including: Fox Chase Farm, Sandstone, River Chase, Frying Pan Park and Summerplace in No Va and Potomac Horse Center, B Rated shows in Northern and Southern Virginia (Nova), Maryland, and Washington, DC

• A and AA rated shows including: Upperville, HITS Culpeper, Morvan Park, PG Equestrian Center, Rose Mount, Lexington Horse Center and McDonogh among others, in Northern and Southern Virginia (Nova), Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida and Washington, DC

• VHSA Associate shows including: Fox Chase Farm, Sandstone, River Chase, Frying Pan Park and Summerplace Farm.

Hunter & Jumper Clinics: (Coming soon)

• We are currently working on scheduling clinics with some top hunter, jumper, equitation trainers such as George Morris, Bill Moroney, Katie Prudent & Emil Spadone. Anyone interested in coming to teach a clinic, please contact us at info@stonegatestables.com.

• We believe in well rounded training and our students attend hunter, jumper & equitation lessons and clinics on occasion from other area trainers such as Joe Fargis, Bill Moroney, Patty Stovel, Pam Freeley and Ken Krome

SGS Successes:

• SGS horses and riders have been successful at all levels of shows and have won tri-color ribbons at such shows as Hits Ocala, Showday National, Constitution Classic, Lexington Spring Encore, Roanoke, Winston National, Cavalier Classic, Md National Horse & Pony, Warrenton, McDonogh, June 1 Day, WBTA, USPGL Finals among others.
• They have also been Reserve Grand Circuit Champions at HITS Culpeper, Champion at Zone III Finals and have been class winners at Upperville, Quentin, Zone Finals, and WHS.  SGS has also had students qualify for WIHS Finals and Marshall & Sterling Finals Krome.
