Silvio Mazzoni

Specializing in Hunter & Jumper Training

Silvio began his riding career in his native country of Argentina. He was trained by top jumper professionals as a junior and competed in his first Grand Prix in 1990 when he was just 18 years old. His professional talents were obvious from that moment on and he accepted an opportunity to train and show horses as the professional for a top breeding farm in Argentina, where they enjoyed many successes together.

With Silvio's talent in the jumper ring coupled with his strong background in dressage, he earned a place on the team for Argentina in the 1998 Rome World Championships for eventing.

Silvio moved to the United States in 2002 bringing with him two horses that he rode on the "AA" circuit in the high level jumpers as well as  Grand Prix's. Since arriving in the U.S., Silvio has worked with Windsor Farms (Middleburg, VA) and Acorn Hill Farm (VA) training horses and riders alike for both the hunter and jumper rings.

In early 2007, Silvio started Keyna Run, Inc., a hunter and jumper training business that he runs from StoneGate Stables. In his first year of business his customer's horses have competed and won at such shows as HITS Culpeper, Upperville, Morvan Park, The Barracks and Lexington, among others. The owners of StoneGate have been so impressed with his talent and natural approach to training that Silvio has started several horses for them and currently has several other SGS horses in training with him as well.

Silvio is currently accepting a limited number of horses and riders into his training program for 2008.
